At Pacmed we develop world leading AI-based decision support software for intensive care doctors. It’s a hugely exciting area where we’re breaking boundaries every day. We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to help us realise sustainable growth.

We have currently implemented our software in a growing number of hospitals and are realising our ambition to scale across the Netherlands, Europe, and beyond.

What this role is all about

As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience and visual design of our AI-powered decision support for intensive care clinicians. Your primary focus will be to combine a deep understanding of human-centred design principles with expertise in data to create intuitive and effective product experiences.

This position requires an experienced product design professional who can bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and the complex needs of healthcare professionals, ensuring our products bring transformative impact in critical care environments.

One thing you can be sure of, every day you’ll be working with an enthusiastic and mission-driven team who are passionate about using technology to revolutionise healthcare!

What would be expected of you

  • User-Centred Design:
    • You’ll conduct and be guided by user research to understand the workflows, challenges, and needs of healthcare professionals working in intensive care units.

    • With this knowledge you’ll input into the development of user journeys, service blueprints and Jobs to be Done to inform the design process.

  • Visual Design:
    • You’ll develop visually appealing, intuitive and consistent design elements for Pacmed’s software.

    • This could include designing clear and informative visualisations to communicate complex AI-driven insights to healthcare professionals, through to collaborating with data scientists and engineers to incorporate the output machine learning models into the user interface.

    • You’ll both develop, and work within, a design system and branding guidelines.

  • Content design
    • You’ll work with medical specialists, engineers and user researchers to translate data and medical terminology into understandable content in the UI.

  • Collaboration:
    • As you can see, multidisciplinary collaboration is a key part of our work! You’ll work in a cross-functional team collaborating with a range of colleagues including: Product Managers, User Researchers, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Clinicians, and Regulatory Affairs colleagues.

    • With all your colleagues, you’ll be comfortable being a vocal advocate for design and keeping it at the heart of Pacmed’s product development.
