At Pacmed we develop world leading AI-based decision support software for intensive care doctors. It’s a hugely exciting area where we’re breaking boundaries every day. We’re looking for a Product Manager to help us realize sustainable growth.

We have currently implemented our software in our first ICU and have the ambitions to scale across the Netherlands and Europe (and beyond).


What this role is all about

As Product Manager, you are responsible for running one of our product squads, and working with the product management team on initiatives to become even more product-driven. You are responsible for a part of the product and making sure your squad delivers value to our users. This concerns both product discovery and product delivery.

A typical week might consist of interviewing doctors, watching our product in action at the ICU, working with UX researchers on shaping the right research questions, working with our UX designer on new product ideas, working with data scientists and software engineers to develop those ideas.

Job requirements

What would be expected of you

  • Carry out the role of product manager for the one of the squads

  • Build the product roadmap, in collaboration with the broader Product team and in alignment with the company OKRs and the CPO

  • Understand and analyse user needs: gather insights and translate them into actionable opportunities

  • Scope MVPs and iteration phases of new projects based on defined KPIs

  • Define the conceptual approach for new features

  • Problem-solving with cross-functional experts in data science, engineering, design, compliance or customer support

  • Provide functional specifications for the engineering team

  • Follow and support the implementation of the specifications

  • Define, monitor and draw conclusions from product analytics

  • Be ready to wear multiple hats!

The profile we’re looking for

Must-haves

There is no need to apply if you don’t meet these requirements, sorry!

  • 3+ years previous experience in Product Management shipping digital products in a startup or scale-up environment

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Strong interdisciplinary coordination and communication skills in English and Dutch: you are able to interact with different profiles in cross-functional teams and capitalise on the different inputs to build coherent and comprehensive solutions

Should-haves

We hope you bring these things as well, but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes.

  • Strong interest in developing healthcare products and feeling for healthcare environment

  • Comfortable carrying out product discovery as well as product delivery activities

  • Previous experience working with algorithm-based products

  • Strong design sensibility and/or previous experience working with Design teams (including Product, UI/UX Designers and UX Researchers)

  • Strong technical appetence and/or technical or engineering background

Nice-to-haves

These are things that would make your profile jump out!

  • Previous experience developing healthcare products

  • Previous experience working on early stage products

  • Previous experience working with regulated products

  • Fluency with data and/or previous experience with data analytics
