Pacmed builds a clinical decision support system to help patients leave the Intensive Care Unit faster and healthier and to use the limited ICU resources optimally. Pacmed does this by combining medical expertise with advanced machine learning. Our first product supports adequately discharging patients from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Pacmed originated from the Nationale DenkTank in 2014 and in the past years has grown to become the leading Dutch company / scale-up when it comes to AI decision support, winning multiple prizes. You will join at a point in time where Pacmed has implemented its first software in the ICU of the AmsterdamUMC and is preparing to scale that software across the Netherlands and Europe.
We are very excited to be able to announce that we will be further scaling our product through a large collaboration with the Santeon group (a group of 7 leading teaching hospitals) supported by two of the largest healthcare insurers (CZ and Zilveren Kruis). This partnership will make it possible to have AI play a significant role in creating future proof ICU care. The Business Development Analyst will play an important role within the Growth team supporting the Growth strategy of Pacmed, informed by the lessons and developments from the Santeon program. The Growth strategy will have a significant impact on the future of data driven healthcare and the future of Pacmed.
About the Role
Pacmed distinguishes itself with its close strategic collaborations with health care leaders - both at the business level as well as physician leaders. We are currently looking for a business development analyst to support our growth strategy and help develop our strategic programs. As a business development analyst you will be supporting Pacmed both on a company wide level (developing business plans for our Growth) and on a program level, making sure our programs maximally contributes to our growth strategy.
Within the Growth team you will be working with the Growth Lead in developing analysis and insights for our longer term growth strategy. Your most important stakeholders here are the Head of Operations, Senior Product Manager and one of the Co-CEOs responsible for the Growth Strategy. The focus of your work will be doing business analysis, working on our commercial strategy, synthesizing findings from market research, interviews and internal problem solve sessions and translating them into clear outputs that inform the Growth Strategy.
You will also support the Delivery Into Care team, led by our Senior Strategic Program Manager. Your other internal stakeholders within this program will be the Senior Product Manager, Implementation Manager and Head of Operations. The Delivery Into Care team is currently working on our large Santeon program, a large project with 7 large teaching hospitals that helps Pacmed lower the barrier for hospitals to adopt our technology and increase their AI readiness. The focus of the Business Development Analyst will be to support the Senior Program Manager in developing a vision and roadmap for data driven solutions on the ICU that supports our growth strategy. You will gather insights from desk research, interviews and workshops that will inform the vision and roadmap.
The ideal candidate will have a combination of a background in life sciences (preferably in the hospital sector), (basic) knowledge of AI, solid consulting and analytical skills and a sharp business mind. Ultimately, you are motivated to support our teams with your skills and thereby deliver impact with data driven solutions in healthcare.
What will you do on a daily basis?
Work closely with the Growth Lead to Problem solve to define the most important strategic questions we need to answer to inform our Growth Strategy
Perform analysis such as competitor analysis and market analysis to assess attractiveness and fit. Examples include assessing the legal and regulatory differences between different markets
Develop go to market strategies for different markets
Structuring our sales funnel, developing a sales playbook and defining what materials are needed to support a smooth sales process
Synthesize findings to create strategic plans that align to company objectives
Work closely with Senior Strategic Program Manager conducting activities like desk search on trends for the ICU, developing scenarios towards a data driven ICU, preparing and conducting interviews and workshops, synthesizing findings into client ready output
Reporting findings and obtaining approval from (senior) management, when required
Work according to set OKRs and KPIs within Pacmed

You have a Master in Life Sciences study and/or Business Administration: e.g. a Masters degree in business administration, a Masters in Public Health, or Masters in Healthcare Administration, or equal professional experience.
2+ years experience in a consulting role (preference given to those specifically within healthcare and/or data science).
Exceptional problem solving, time management, facilitation, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
You have affinity with healthcare and data science.

Speaking Dutch is required.
